Eva Proudman was elected Chairman of the Institute of Trichologists in November 2020. Eva is also leading the Change Management Programme that is restructuring the Institute of Trichologists into 2 new businesses, The Institute of Trichologists will offer a Standards, Regulation and Members body, and will hopefully attain Professional Standards Accreditation, to move the sector into the Allied Healthcare Professional category, that will enable more programmes of change to improve and enhance the role of the Trichologist and will ultimately benefit all of the people who seek the specialised services offered.
Eva has worked in the hair sector for over 20 years, she has a passion for education and is responsible for ensuring a relevant programme of continual professional development is available to all IoT Members.
Eva has 10 very busy UK clinics as well as offering specialist consultancy services to major companies who produce hair care products, she has worked alongside Dyson, Wella and L’Oréal to name but a few, she provides expert witness services for individuals and companies, having spent 2 decades sourcing human hair and testing it for the manufacture and design of wigs, hair extensions and hair loss solutions here knowledge and experience is second to none.
Eva is regularly invited to speak at many of the conferences and congresses that take place, she has spoken at the International Trichology Congress, the Business of Hair, Alopecia UK, National Hairdressing Federation, and to many regional hair loss support groups. Eva is a regular contributor to the media with articles in The Telegraph, Femail, Woman & Home, The Sun, Mumsnet, Woman, Good Housekeeping and many other titles as well.
Eva’s passion for education as seen her spearhead educational campaigns for Polytar and Johnson & Johnson about scalp health, currently she is working to provide education for over 400 pharmacists around the UK relating scalp health and how to help their customers who may have a scalp problem.
In her spare time she can be found on the South Coast with her Son, Husband dogs and boat, she loves to cook and garden and even combines the 2 with home grown vegetables.
