Tracey is the Director of Education for the Institute of Trichologists whilst maintaining her own practice in Cambridgeshire one day per week.
Tracey has been involved with hair for over 35 years, firstly as a hairdresser then as a consultant Trichologist.
Tracey is particularly keen to pass on her knowledge of the hair and scalp and regularly keeps up to date with current knowledge and research by attending the Institute’s Annual Continual Professional Development Seminars, the European and World Hair Research Society meetings, Psychodermatology meetings and other opportunities which present themselves. The knowledge acquired is a valuable asset whilst tutoring Institute students.
Tracey is also passionate about public speaking and was a member of Toastmasters International, which is an organisation that develops communication and leadership skills. Tracey was a member for over 10 years and achieved the highest recognition there is within the organisation – Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM).
She still uses this training regularly when giving presentations to college students, hairdressers and the medical profession on the role of the Trichologist and how important our work is. It is also beneficial when dealing with the media. Tracey has been invited onto several radio stations to talk about Trichological matters and has appeared in national magazines.
As well as her work within education Tracey is also an active member on the Board of Directors and is a Trustee for the Institute of Trichologists Education and Hospital Trust.
