Mission & Vision
The Institute of Trichologists Standards & Regulatory Authority, (ITSRA) are the
recognised regulators, standard setters for the Trichology industry in the UK and the
trusted point of access for the public seeing information about the Practice of
Trichology and where appropriate being able to raise concerns about Registered
Members. The ITSRA places public protection and patient safety at the forefront of
all of its activities.
ITSRA Member Registrants and associated Education Providers are accredited and
endorsed by the ITSRA as meeting the highest standards of quality. All parties that
are admitted to the ITSRA Registers have met the agreed industry qualifications and
abide by the strict code of Professional Conduct and Ethical practice as determined
by the ITSRA.
Upholding Patient Safety and Public Confidence at the core of all activities carried
out by the ITSRA.
Operating its Register of Members and Education Training Providers within a strict
and agreed Code of Practice that embodies robust ethical standards for providing
Trichological services and treatments.

Recognition of innovation, best evidence-based practice and responding dynamically
Protecting the Public:
Applying strict standards for entry to the ITSRA Register and for continuation of
Approving education and training providers that deliver the education to meet the
Maintaining a Members Register of individuals who successfully complete their
education and are accredited with details of their competence.
Taking action if the professional Code of Practice and Ethics is not adhered to.
Establishing a clear and simple procedure for the public to raise comments, issues
and concerns about the professional practice of Registered Members.
Providing clear easily accessible information to the Public to enable them to consider
and select Trichological Practioners and Services.
