Information about us is a site operated by The Institute of Trichologists (“we”, “us” and “our” shall be construed accordingly).  We are a limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 00208098 – Incorporated on 27 August 1925, and have our registered office at 10 Harley Street, London, W1G 9PF. Our VAT number is 872506026.

Our website (“our site”) is an information and online referral service which facilitates you to locate Trichologists who have undergone our training course or who have been accepted as members due to their specific training and their agreement to abide to our Code of Professional Practice and Ethics.

You will use our site solely as a source of information. Our site does not offer medical or similar professional services and the information provided is not in any way intended to replace a face-to-face consultation with a Trichologist, doctor or other qualified healthcare professional. If you desire or need such services or advice, or should any medical condition arise or exist, you should consult with a Trichologist, doctor or other qualified healthcare professional.

You acknowledge that you engage a Trichologist at your own discretion and risk. We do not provide Trichologists with any clinical or service provision guidelines and take no responsibility for any contractual relationships between you and our Trichologists or work carried out by them.

In engaging with your preferred Trichologist, you acknowledge that you are entering into a direct contract with a Trichologist and agree that we are neither a party to, nor have any responsibility for this contract or its terms.

However, if there is a problem with the consultation/treatment we do get involved via the Chair of Ethics so we do have a responsibility as such.

We may provide other goods and services from time to time. Full details will be provided on our site.
