NCFE Annual Inspection – Outstanding!
The Institute of Trichologists (IOT) is delighted to announce that after receiving its yearly awarding body inspection we remain outstanding! On Friday the 14th of April 2023, the IOT was graded one, excellent for each of the following categories;
External Quality Assurance:
– Management systems
– Resources
– Assessment
– Internal Quality Assurance
– Learner Feedback / Learner Experience

The IOT was the first trichology education provider to gain course accreditation in Trichology with an awarding body at Level 5, (The Level 5 Diploma in Clinical Trichology) customised qualification. We are currently the only education provider in the whole world to offer a Trichology course incorporating hands on clinical training and practice. Delivering trichology education for over 100 years, the Institute currently has students and members located across the world.
During the recent ‘inspection’ the IOT was commended on their high levels of internal quality assurance, systems, procedures and gained direct claims status a year earlier than expected. Students who were interviewed as part of the visit spoke highly of the course, tutors, learning materials and the hands on clinical training. Once again no ‘actions’ or ‘recommendations’ were received and overall the External Verifier was extremely impressed.
